My first tiling project was a small space above my laundry nook. I was so excited to dive into a part of DIY I had never done before. And while I love the look of zellige, I decided it was not the right tile for this space or for a first timer like me. So I found this amazing look-alike, and I am so happy with how it turned out!
To keep this project simple, I used Musselbound Tile Adhesive -- another great option for a first timer, and for small spaces. Notably, you cannot use Musselbound with zellige tile because of the weight and texture of it. Musselbound requires a smooth flat surface and does a fantastic job at holding the tile. I loved it because there was no mess, and I could start grouting right away.
I chose a crosshatch style with a beige grout that blended into the color of the tile to keep things somewhat monochrome in this small, walkthrough laundry nook.
What do you think? Would you use this zellige dupe tile?
